FAQ's

FAQ’s – Commercial Stock Pile Reporting

Do you follow all applicable laws?

Yes. All of our pilots have tested and are licensed with the FAA. All drones are registered and meet FAA standards.

Do you have a safety program?

Yes. Our safety program is extensive and starts several days before your scheduled flight.

Can weather affect my scheduled stockpile scan?

Sometimes. Rain during the planned flight may make rescheduling the drone scan necessary. Fog or low cloud ceiling may also cause postponement or rescheduling. Your drone pilot will stay in contact with your representative and keep them apprised of the current flight conditions.

How long can you fly?

Our drones use batteries that provide 12-25 minutes of flight time, depending on the weather and air conditions.  Our drone pilots each carry several batteries to ensure they have enough available flight time to complete the project.  As a general rule, one battery will provide coverage for an 80 acre parcel.

 What areas do you service?

We currently provide services for Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Western Montana.  If you have a project outside of this area, feel free to contact us and we will attempt to accommodate your needs.

What do you consider one flight?

One flight would include 80 acres or less.  Larger sites can be accommodated but will incur slightly higher fees, please call us for your specialized quote.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes, our stockpile scans are guaranteed to be to your satisfaction or we will re-fly the site.  Our goal is to have a long term relationship with our customers, and the only way we can do that is to make sure you are happy with our work.

Can you fly everywhere?

Yes, No, Maybe…some sites may be in or near restricted or controlled air space.  Waivers can be obtained to fly in most controlled air space; however, it is not a guarantee.  Restricted air space can also be flown in if a waiver is granted by the FAA.  Waivers would be needed in either case and can take up to 4-months to get approved.  If you think your site is in controlled or restricted air space, within 5-miles of an airport or military base, please contact us ASAP so we can get the waiver in the works.
